Your Role
As our Senior Speech and Language Therapist, you will:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments for clients with complex neurological needs.
- Develop and implement individualised intervention plans focused on enhancing communication, breathing, cognition, and quality of life.
- Implement and evaluate AAC strategies to meet diverse communication needs.
- Provide hands-on mentorship and clinical supervision for junior SLTs and therapy assistants.
- Lead in-service training, workshops, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure client-centred care and optimal outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of service strategies and the ongoing expansion of our rehabilitation programmes.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent) and CORU registration or S91 CORU Application in process. You must be legally entitled to live and work in Ireland.
- Experience: Ideally 5 years’ experience, with at least 2 years in neurological rehabilitation or similar settings.
- AAC Expertise: Proven experience with AAC tools and communication strategies.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience in supervision, training, or team leadership.
- Collaboration: Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills with a family-centred approach, demonstrating initiative, drive, creativity, and innovation.
- Desirable: Familiarity with various healthcare systems and neuro-rehabilitation frameworks.
