Overview

Reporting to the Director of People, Strategy and Development, this newly created role presents an incredible opportunity to be part of the team to deliver the ambitious growth strategy of a large multi-faceted organisation in this important space. This position will be responsible for the entire employee life cycle and experience, and is critical to the growth and success of the DSPCA. This role requires a self-starting, highly organised strategic thinker with a proven track record in Human Resource management and people centric strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and procedures
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance management processes
Drive employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
Prepare monthly payroll file alongside the finance dept.
Lead L&D and H&S functions
Implement HRIS in line with organisational people goals
Collaborate with senior leadership on compensation, succession planning, and HR analytics
Maintain legal compliance and ensure a safe, inclusive workplace
Lead employee relations efforts and resolve any grievances with professionalism
Ensure a positive culture and working environment for all staff in line with people strategy

Ideal Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human resources, with at least 3 years in mid-senior role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-impact results
A hands on approach vital#
CIPD preferred
A deep love of animals and alignment to the work and values of the DSPCA essential

Terms

Permanent role. Part time or Full time will be considered for the right candidate
Hybrid working policy – 3 days on site required, Rathfarnham Dublin 16
