The Role

The Executive Director will be responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of BankTrack, ensuring alignment with its mission and vision. This role involves financial oversight, fundraising, and fostering an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture. As the principal representative, the Executive Director will engage with funders, partners, and media to amplify the organisation’s impact.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the strategic plan in collaboration with the team and Board.
Oversee financial sustainability, fundraising efforts, and compliance with legal requirements.
Manage and support a dedicated, internationally distributed team, promoting an inclusive and empowering work environment.
Represent BankTrack to key stakeholders, including donors, media, and civil society partners.
Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand impact and financial stability.

Candidate Profile

Proven leadership experience in non-profit or mission-driven organisations.
Strong understanding of banking systems, sustainable finance, and the challenges of driving systemic change.
Commitment to social and environmental justice, with a strong focus on feminist, anti-racist, and anti-colonial values.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, fundraising, and financial management.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.

Location: The headquarters is in Nijmegen, Netherlands; however, we invite applications from candidates based anywhere within CET +/- 2 time zones (Europe or Africa).

Salary: Depending on location and experience, €58,884 to €104,292 annually, plus 8% holiday allowance.

Conditions: This is a full-time position (36 hours per week)
