Wexford Rape Crisis (WEXRC) is recruiting a Clinical Team Leader with the responsibility to deliver an efficient and effective client therapy service within WEXRC.
Reporting to: Manager
Key responsibilities will include:
- Line management support and supervision of the team of counsellors.
- Ongoing development and implementation of clinical management systems and policies and ongoing development of best practice models in relation to overall clinical service in close co-operation with the Manager.
- Overall management of waiting lists
- Monitoring of client safety in relation to suicide and self-harm and child protection
- Facilitating Clinical team meetings.
- Working closely with the Clinical & Administration teams in the ongoing development of data systems.
- Liaison with external agencies including Social Workers and the Gardaí as required.
Essential Requirements:
- To have evidenced line management experience within a clinical/social care setting.
- Evidenced knowledge of the provision of Adult & Adolescent counselling services.
- To have excellent team management skills and the ability to generate effective working relationships with all team members of WEXRC.
- To have excellent interpersonal, communication, conflict management and organisational skills.
- To have demonstratable understanding of the impact of DSGBV and of the support needs of individual survivors.
- To work within the ethos and core values of WEXRC.
Desirable requirements:
- A minimum of 2 year’s line management experience in a social care setting.
- To have a counselling/counselling psychology qualification and accreditation.
- Experience of working therapeutically with clients who have been impacted by Domestic, Sexual or Gender-based violence.
